    The fixed and rotor iron cores of large motors are divided into many overlapping segments. The punch plate of spot welded ventilation channel steel is placed between the iron core segments, namely, the ventilation groove plate, so as to form the radial air duct of fixed and rotor iron cores, which is used for heat dissipation and ventilation cooling of iron cores. The manufacturing quality of the ventilation groove plate must meet the strength requirements to ensure that no collapse or collapse occurs after loading. At the same time, the spot welding position of the ventilation channel steel on the punching plate should be accurate. After each section of iron core is pressed, the axial position of the ventilation channel steel should be in a straight line to ensure that the radial air duct does not distort and the axial straight line transmission of the pressing force of the iron core. With the development of motor manufacturing technology and upgrading of manufacturing equipment, the manufacturing technology level of ventilation groove plate has been greatly improved. Currently supported processes are resistance welding and laser welding. Resistance welding is to place the welding parts between two electrodes, connect the current and apply a certain pressure, use the resistance heat generated when the current flows through the workpiece contact surface for heating, forming the local melting state of the welding parts. Laser welding is a kind of laser beam with high monochrome, strong aroma and high brightness by using the principle of excited atomic radiation. The laser beam, which is composed of coherent monochromatic photon stream with high energy density produced by laser, is used as energy source to bombard metal or non-metal, generate heat and melt it to achieve the purpose of welding. According to the different requirements of the structure design and the characteristics of the respective spot welding process and the actual production needs, the motor manufacturers can according to their own design capacity, equipment situation, production cycle, choose suitable for their own ventilation groove plate spot welding process, to ensure the manufacturing quality of ventilation groove plate.

  • The advantages of using laminate stator core
    Laminations are the steel portions of the stator and rotor consisting of thin lamination sheets stacked together. These laminations can be stacked "loose", welded, or bonded together depending on your application. Laminations sheets are used instead of a solid pice to reduce eddy current losses and Cools the Stator Core. Reduces Eddy Current The electromagnetic field of a stator core generates a voltage, called an eddy current. Often this current results in power loss and diminished performance. How much loss depends on several factors including frequency of EMF and density of magnetic flux. Stator laminations reduce eddy current by insulating the core. Thin silicon steel plates are stacked on top of one another around the center, preventing eddy current flow. With the eddy current reduced, the stator core can maintain constant power, keeping your motor running. Cools the Stator Core Heat often follows eddy current production. A solid piece of iron would not only emit large eddy currents, but the core would be hotter than Florida in the summertime. That amount of heat is enough to melt the core entirely. By laminating the stator, you reduce the eddy current and the heat it generates. Cooling the core simplifies down to pumping air or hydrogen across the core structure. Reduces Hysteresis Loss The electromagnetic field created by the rotating stator magnetizes the iron core. However, these effects don`t happen at the same time. The magnetization lags behind the field creation, a phenomenon known as hysterisis. When you eliminate the magnetic field (i.e., shut the engine off), the iron will slowly demagnetize. Toggling back and forth between magnetization and demagnetization creates a loop. The bigger the loop, the more energy it takes to magnetize and demagnetize the core. What does all this science have to do with stator laminations? Well, when the core generates heat, it loses hysteresis. This loss wastes energy and forces the motor to consume more power to function. Lamination plates have narrow hysteresis loops, requiring less energy to magnetize and demagnetize the core. In layman`s terms, laminating the stators makes the motor more efficient.

    The high-voltage motor is mainly composed of two parts: the fixed part is called the stator, and the rotating part is called the rotor. The shaft is the main component that supports the weight of the rotor, transmits torque, and outputs mechanical power.

    Why is the stator core laminated? In a case scenario where the stator core is made from solely one solid piece of material-the associated heatproduced and currents will amount to a large sum-resulting in a melted stator core. As such, there is a need to laminate the stator core and insulate each laver.Reason being that the circulatingcurrents will be brought down to a size that is much more smaller and controllable.   • How does a standard core lamination go about?
    A typical stator core is made up of countless individual steellaminations-from thousands up to even hundreds of thousands. As of now, laminations are created by computer-controlled laser cutting machines or stamping/punching dies The process of building a stator core goes like this:laminations are continuously placed side-by-side with the objective to attain a ringed or complete circular layer. As such the following layer will continue being laid out - offsetting each laver like a cinder block wall or brick until the desired length and laver is achieved. Generally, astator core will be estimated to be about 0.014"to 0.018"for each layer-while the length can range from ten to twenty feet. Al these segments/lavers are alligned properly and fastened together under compressive loads with parts llke finger plates, building bolts, key bars,through bolts and compression rings.
